Who Am I?

👋 Hi, I'm Tamer and I'm on a mission to make learning calligraphy easy and fun for everyone.

I've been featured on TV, taught at calligraphy and creative conferences, have had work published internationally, and shown in galleries and exhibitions, but I'm going to let you in on a little secret...

We're probably more alike than you think - we're both "heartists."

What's a "heartist?" It's a totally invented word for those of us who are artists at heart, with a lifelong passion for creativity who bootstrapped our learning and are self-taught.

Growing up, I followed a "sensible" career path - 9-5 work, corporate job, but zero ink stains on my hands each day. On paper it sounded great; in my heart it felt gray.

The longer I ignored that creative tug, the louder it got.

I knew something had to change or I'd forever regret not trying.

I started forging a creative path and my days were filled with color and vibrance again.

Along the way, I found calligraphy - an art form that could transform simple words into masterpieces of prose, abstracts, and even illustrations.

I was hooked.

While learning and teaching, I'd regularly meet people who loved art, too, but would dismiss the idea that they could make something beautiful because, "I'm just not artistic," or "I'm not creative."

Every time, it pierced me - because I was them not too long ago, and I was sure, absolutely positive, they could learn to make art that they loved.

They just needed a little help and encouragement.

Which is why I'm on this mission, - because nothing compares to helping fellow heartists reach the moment where they lift their pen and smile as their eyes widen, realizing, "Whoa... I made that!"

I’m not one to leave feedback, however this one I feel is truly deserved. I was on the fence for months, I kept going in and looked at the prices and I just couldn’t get myself to signup.
